Where do you buy maps? ?

In general, where do people buy maps? I’m in western massachusetts, but I’d like a detailed, (hopefully old-fashioned looking) map of France. A wall map, if that makes sense, to hang, not in a book. Where do people buy them? Walmart? Target? Are there special map shops? I realize this sounds like a dumb question.
