If national health care is so bad, how come Canada and Europe don’t get rid of it?

Now there are some exceptions on the map of countries I wouldn’t want to be in that have health care, but the U.S is the only industrialized democracy that doesn’t have health care.
If health care is so terrible, how come none of the other industrialized democracies have gotten rid of it?
They may have no choice; it is widely recognized that the current level of government interference cannot be sustained so countries such as Germany have gone public saying that unless services are cut back, the country will dissolve.
