t-mobile g1 android gps?

I think that google maps is one of the best street and topo maps around. How will the G1 work with Google maps and GPS? will trips ever be able to be saved or will you always have to have data connection?

Not sure what you mean by data connection or whatever, but i know Google maps work well on the G1. When you ask it to do the gps thing and find you, it takes a minute but i will find you within like a block radius.
