Do I need a visa in these countries?
In about 2 weeks I’ll be heading to Europe to do some backpacking. I’ve been to Europe in the past, but never to some of the countries I’m planning on visiting and I’m not sure which countries require a visa. Here’s my current plan of travel.
From Munich, going to Copenhagen, then Stockholm, then Helsinki (I’m guessing none of these require a visa). My next plan was to go to St. Petersburg, but I found out that Russian tourist visas are about $130 (anyone know anything different?). So instead of go from Helsinki to St. Petersburg, I’ll take a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. From there I’ll go to Riga, then Vilnius, then Warsaw, then back to Germany.
How does this sound? Would there be any places you recommend changing or not going to? Are any visas required in the countries I’m going to? Thanks for the help
Whether or not you need a visa to those countries depends totally on your nationality. If you are an American citizen, you can use the site below and click on each country you want to visit, then read the section under “Entry Requirements.” If you are another nationality, use the 2nd site. Enter your nationality and destination and click for the info.

Cabbages KingsA Kids Guide to Tallinn, Estonia $23.09 The first traces of human settlement found in Tallinn s city center by archeologists are about 5000 years old. The comb ceramic pottery found on the site dates to about 3000 BC and corded ware pottery c. 2500 BC. Then in 1154 a town called Qlwn (or Qalaven) was put on the world map of the Almoravid by the cartographer Muhammad alIdrisi who described it as a small town like a large castle among the towns of Astlanda. John D. Weigand and Penelope Dyan went to the town of Tallinn, Estonia and would agree the cartographer s description is very accurate when it comes to this town because it is exactly like stepping into a castle province, and you can imagine it exactly as it once was, a place of cabbages and kings. This is a place for a child to fire up the imagination inside, to hear music, to eat candied almonds sold in little bags on the street, to watch archers with bows take aim at targets, and to walk among green paths, cobblestones and flowers. Author: Dyan, Penelope/ Weigand, John D. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 36 Publication Date: 2011/06/02 Language: English Dimensions: 8.30 x 8.30 x 0.20 inches Large Print |
