Rally of Canberra $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Rally of Canberra is an automobile rally event which was held in and around Canberra, Australian Capital Territory first held in 1988. The event is currently a round of the Australian Rally Championship (ARC); it has been part of the AsiaPacific Rally Championship (APRC) in the past. The modern Rally of Canberra began in 1988, but the attraction of forest roads through steep terrain so close to a city has been attracting rallying to the Canberra for years. Previously the Castrol International Rally was held in much the same area utilising some of the same stage roads. Run throughout much of the 1970s the rally attracted international teams and drivers from the World Cup and World Championship teams. Rally Report $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Rally Report was a series of programmes broadcast by the BBC covering the Lombard RAC Rally of Great Britain then the last round of the World Rally Championship. It ran on BBC2 during the 1980s and 1990s and usually featured previews, a live stage, twice nightly reports and a wrapup compilation. The show was made at BBC Pebble Mill and branded as Top Gear Rally Report since unusually it was not made by BBC Sport. Top Gear presenter William Woollard presented the programme with first Sue Baker and later Tony Mason doing the location reports on the stages.The shows theme music was Jewelled (from the remix album Wishful Thinking) by Propaganda. 2008 Monte Carlo Rally $79.66 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The 2008 Monte Carlo Rally, officially 76eme Rallye Automobile de MonteCarlo, was the 76th Monte Carlo Rally and the first round of the 2008 World Rally Championship season. The rally took place during January 2427 2008, beginning with two stages driven in darkness throughout on Thursday and ending with a short super special around the harbour area of the Grand Prix circuit in Monaco on Sunday. Sebastien Loeb took a record fifth Monte Carlo win for the Citroen Total World Rally Team. Fords Mikko Hirvonen was second and Subarus Chris Atkinson third, after a tight battle with Francois Duval; drivers finished the final Super Special Stage with exact same times and ended the event with just above 1s time gap between them. Petter Solberg was fifth, followed by Gigi Galli, JeanMarie Cuoq, PerGunnar Andersson, Henning Solberg and Matthew Wilson. Dani Sordo and JariMatti Latvala both retired from day three, but continued under the SupeRally rules and finished 11th and 12th respectively.
