Casablanca — an insider’s guide
Close your eyes and think of Casablanca. Your mind most probably comes alive with images of Bogart, Bergman and Sam tickling the ivories in the smoke-filled Rick’s Café. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

The Atlas Mountains are a mountain range across a northern stretch of Africa extending about 2,500 km (1,500 miles) through Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. The highest peak is Jbel Toubkal, with an elevation of 4,167 metres (13,671 ft) in southwestern Morocco. The Atlas ranges separate the Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines from the Sahara Desert. The population of the Atlas Mountains are mainly Berbers. The terms for mountain in some Berber languages are adrar and adras, believed to be cognate with the toponym. The mountains are divided into additional and separate ranges, including the Middle Atlas, High Atlas, and AntiAtlas. The lower Tell Atlas running near the coast and the larger Saharan Atlas running further south terminate in the Aurs Mountains located in Algeria and Tunisia. The Atlas Mountains constitute one of the distinct physiographic provinces of the larger African Alpine System division. Yusef of Morocco

Yusef of Morocco

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Sultan Yusef ben Hassan (1882November 17, 1927) (Arabic: ) ruled the French Protectorate of Morocco from 1912 until his death in 1927. Born in the city of Meknes to Sultan Hassan I, he inherited the throne from his brother, Sultan Abdelhafid, who abdicated after the Treaty of Fez (1912), which made Morocco a French protectorate. He was a member of the Alaouite Dynasty. Yusefs reign was turbulent and marked with frequent uprisings against Spain and France. The most serious of these was a Berber uprising in the Rif Mountains, led by Abd elKrim. Though this originally began in the Spanishcontrolled area in the north of the country, it reached to the Frenchcontrolled area until a coalition of France and Spain finally defeated the rebels in 1925. To ensure his own safety, Yusef moved the court from Fez to Rabat, which has served as the capital of the country ever since. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Atlas (Mythology)

Atlas (Mythology)

$60.54

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles In Greek mythology, Atlas was the primordial Titan who supported the heavens from the ranges now called the Atlas Mountains. Atlas was the son of the Titan Iapetus and the Oceanid Asia or Klymn: Now Iapetus took to wife the neatankled maid Clymene, daughter of Ocean, and went up with her into one bed. And she bare him a stouthearted son, Atlas: also she bare very glorious Menoetius and clever Prometheus, full of various wiles, and scatterbrained Epimetheus. Hyginus emphasises the primordial nature of Atlas by making him the son of Aether and Gaia. In contexts where a Titan and a Titaness are assigned each of the seven planetary powers, Atlas is paired with Phoebe and governs the moon. He had three brothers Prometheus, Epimetheus and Menoetius.
