Can someone help me on a great depression report?
i’m NOT asking anyone to write it for me, i am just getting so confused. it’s only supposed to be 1 page long. that’s actually the problem
how am i supposed to put ALL THIS information:
http://www.english.uiuc.edu/maps/depression/about.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Depression
on one page?! answer: i’m not! so sombody just tell me the basics, what i SHOULD write.
it’s due tomorrow!
Danny, I’m not asking for a lecture. that’s none of your business. you don’t know the circumstances. I was just asking for help.
Asking anyone to help you write a one page letter regarding the depression is a bit late now..Why did you wait so long to address this ? How many books have you read on the depression..what other essays ? Putting this off and now wanting a miracle ? It won’t happen ..Good luck..

Causes of the Great Depression $129.05 The causes of the Great Depression are still a matter of active debate among economists. The specific economic events that took place during the Great Depression have been studied thoroughly: a deflation in asset and commodity prices, dramatic drops in demand and credit, and disruption of trade, ultimately resulting in widespread poverty and unemployment. However, historians lack consensus in describing the causal relationship between various events and the role of government economic policy in causing or ameliorating the Depression. Great Depression in the United States $108.33 The Great Depression began on Black Tuesday with the Wall Street Crash of October, 1929 and rapidly spread worldwide. The market crash marked the beginning of a decade of high unemployment, poverty, low profits, deflation, plunging farm incomes, and lost opportunities for economic growth and personal advancement. Although its causes are still uncertain and controversial, the net effect was a sudden and general loss of confidence in the economic future. The usual explanations include numerous factors, especially high consumer debt, illregulated markets that permitted malfeasance by banks and investors, cutbacks in foreign trade, lack of highgrowth new industries, and growing wealth inequality, all interacting to create a downward economic spiral of reduced spending, falling confidence, and lowered production. The initial government response to the crisis exacerbated the situation; protectionist policies like the 1930 SmootHawley Tariff Act in the U.S. strangled global trade as other nations retaliated against the U.S. Industries that suffered the most included agriculture, mining, and logging as well as durable goods like construction and automobiles that people postponed.
