Why did NATO help the British Crown take the Falkland Islands?

NATO means (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) so why did the US allow NATO to take the Falkland Islands which is the Americas?!

Isn’t this a violation of US Foreign Policy. Didn’t the USA allow a Eurpean Power to violate the Monroe Doctrine?

THe MOnroe Doctrine is not a law. As such, it has no enforceability.
Major General, US Air Force, David Forgan planned and supported the BRitish Air Efforts. He coordinated supplies and readiness. We were not physically involved, but his direction and guidance played a part in the war.
Britain is one of the founding partners of NATO. This is a great example of entangled foreign alliances that Washington warned us of.
