Packard Caribbean $58.94 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Packard Caribbean was a halo vehicle produced by the Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit, Michigan during model years 1953 through 1956. Some of the Caribbeans styling was derived from the Pan American Packard show car of the previous year. Produced only as a convertible from 1953 to 1955, the Caribbean added a hardtop model in its final year of 1956.Introduced as part of the Packard Cavalier model range, the 1953 Caribbean was perhaps Packards most easily identified car because of its full cutout rear wheel housing and side trim, limited to a chrome band outline that stretched the entire length of the car. The band also helped to further delineate the cars wheel openings. A steel continental spare tire was also standard. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. War Plan Black $74.88 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles One of the Rainbow Plans, War Plan Black was the name of an American military plan to fight Germany in the early 20th century. The bestknown version of Black was conceived as a contingency plan during World War I in case France fell and the Germans attempted to seize French possessions in the Caribbean, or launch an attack on the eastern seaboard. War Plan Black called for the United States to plant mines and have submarines on patrol at sites Germany might seize for a foothold in the Caribbean. It was revised in 1916 to concentrate the main US naval fleet in New England, and from there defend the US from the German navy. Following Germanys defeat in World War I, Plan Black was no longer as important as it once was. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Naming the American Civil War $95.59 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The American Civil War has been known by a number of different names since it ended in 1865. These names reflect the historical, political, and cultural sensitivities of different groups and regions. The most common name, particularly in modern American usage, is simply the Civil War. Although not used during the war, the term War Between the States became widespread in the Southern United States. During and immediately after the war, Northern forces often used the term War of the Rebellion, while the Southern equivalent was War for Southern Independence. The latter regained some currency in the late 20th century, but has again fallen out of use. Other terms often reflect a more explicitly partisan view of events, such as War of Northern Aggression, used by some Southerners, or the Freedom War, used by their black counterparts to reflect the celebratory nature of Juneteenth celebrations.
